چکیده

Patients of all ages and genders regularly experience urinary tract infections. Antibiotic misuse has caused organisms to develop drug resistance, creating a treatment problem. Objective: To uncover risk variables relationships, as well the antibiotic susceptibility in UTI patients. Methods: Diabetes non-diabetes with were compared within groups using Chi-square test, significant P-value 0.05. Results: 32 (21.2%) given empirical ciprofloxacin (11%), cefixime (5%), ceftriaxone (2.6%), cefoparazone-sulbactum (1.30%), amoxicillin-clavulanic acid ampicillin co-trimoxazole (0.60%), respectively. E. coli was most prevalent pathogen, an isolation rate 84%, followed by pseudomonas aeruginosa (6%), Serratia (3.3%), klebsiella Enterobacter cloacae Sternotophomus (0.7%), MRSA (each 0.7%). Ampicillin, Cefixime, Ceftriaxone, Co-Trimoxazole, Ciprofloxacin, Amoxicillin-Clavulanic Acid, Tetracycline, Levofloxacin often resistant to, respectively, 87 percent, 83 78 51 percent these antibiotics. Conclusions: MDR prevalence is highest gram-negative bacteria. The presence diabetes mellitus being woman are factors for UTI, according tests. Escherichia (84%) common uropathogen. Carbapenems, piperacillin-tazobactam, Amikacin, Gentamicin, cefoparazone-sulbactam (parenteral) Nitrofurantoin preferred treatments (oral). Hospitals nation at large should constantly examine reassess their antimicrobial policies.
